Veteran Tollywood star Mohan Babu will make a comeback into Kollywood after four long decades, as he will play a key role in Suriya’s upcoming film ‘Soorarai Pottru’.
The movie, directed by Sudha Kongara, is being made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. It is said to be based on the life of aviation industry entrepreneur, GR Gopinath.
“Mohan Babu has joined the sets of the movie and is fast shooting for his scenes. His will be a crucial role,” sources say.
Recently, Suriya had said that the film is not a biopic, but will only present events that happened in Gopinath’s life, and the screenplay has been adapted suitably.
The film is jointly produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment. The first look has Suriya wearing a dhoti and watching a flight in awe.
Sources had said while Suriya plays Gopinath, Aparna Balamurali, who was last seen opposite G V Prakash Kumar in Rajiv Menon-directed ‘Sarvam Thaala Mayam’, will essay the role of his wife Bhargavi Gopinath.
