Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja

– Review

Popular YouTube channel Blacksheep has joined hands with Sivakarthikeyan’s SK banner to make ‘Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja’, a film which makes us feel like watching comedy videos on mobile phone.

But the difference, is, we get to see all these on big screen in the comfort of a theatre. The movie with a decent story and a not-so-bad screenplay has utilised the skills of artistes who are popular on social media.

Siva (Rio Raj) and Vicky (Vigneshkanth) run a YouTube channel. They aspire to become super rich in life, but struggle to achieve their mission.

An elderly businessman (Radha Ravi) comes forward to help them realise their dream. But he expects something in return from them.

The entrepreneur gives them three tasks and want Siva and Vicky to accomplish them. The tasks are difficult and how the happy-go-luck youngsters achieve them form the crux of ‘Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja’.

Director Karthik Venugopalan has made a film which appears like a combination of satrical and comical YouTube clippings. Rio Raj is good while Vigneshkanth is average.

Both Shirin Kanchwala’s character and the love portions are not up to the mark. Same is the status of technical departments like music, cinematography and editing.

If you expect a feature film, you may get disappointed after watching ‘Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja’. But if you are a fan of YouTube videos, you will enjoy it.
