Jyothika’s ‘Ratchasi’, in which she will be seen playing the role of a teacher, is scheduled to hit the screens on June 28. The trailer of the movie, which was unveiled on the release day of her husband Suriya’s ‘NGK’ recently, has won the admiration of the audience.
In the film, Jyothika plays Geetha Rani, a government school teacher who questions the establishment and anti-social elements who favour private schools.
The film is helmed by debutant Gauthamraj and produced by SR Prabhu’s Dream Warrior Pictures. ‘Ratchasi’ has music by Sean Roldan and cinematography by ‘Monster’-fame Gokul Benoy.
In the trailer, Jyothika is seen donning simple cotton sarees and hair tied up in a tight bun. Her role seems quite fierce as she plays a teacher with a mission.
The character of Jyothika in ‘Ratchasi’ is so tough that she also breaks a bottle to threaten one of the officials who threatens her first.
