Ace comedian Yogi Babu’s heroic venture ‘Gurkha’ is getting ready for release. Its makers, without annoucing the date, have said that the film will hit the screens this month.
In the flick directed by Sam Anton, Yogi Babu plays the security guard of a mall. The entire mall faces a huge danger and Yogi Babu saves it forms the crux of the story, say sources.
In the poster of the movie, the ‘Mersal’ and ‘Viswasam’ actor is seen in full Gurkha costume along with the knife. A dog is also seen in the poster wearing aviators and a scarf.
Recently, Yogi Babu had refuted claims that he was demanding huge money as remuneration from the producers of his film. “If I had demanded hefty pay from all the producers, I would have been jobless by now. In fact, for many projects, I’ve compromised on my salary to encourage deserving talents,” he said at the audio launch of his upcoming film ‘Dharma Prabhu’.
He said further: ” People often say that I’ve easily become a successful comedian as I didn’t have any competition. But I would like to register that I’ve always faced competition. Lot of people have fought similar battles and won in the past, and new comedians might replace me in the future. It’s just a matter of time.”
