Fire broke out in the farmhouse of Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Friday, damaging part of a set of his upcoming film ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’.
The incident occurred near the Gandipet lake. On seeing flames, residents of the area alerted the police and fire and rescue services, who rushed to the spot and put off the fire.
“Luckily, there was no one on the sets at the time of the incident. Thus, a tragedy was averted,” sources said and added that an electrical short circuit is expected to be the reason behind the fire.
‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’, based on the life of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, is being helmed by director Surender Reddy. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Sudeep, Tamannaah, Nayanthara among others. The film is produced by Ram Charan.
