Director Cheran, after watching the recently released ‘Super Deluxe’, is all praise for the film’s team, including director Thiagarajan Kumararaja and Vijay Sethupathi.
Taking to his Twitter page, the ‘Porkaalam’ and ‘Vetri Kodi Kattu’ maker said, “First of all, I salute to Vijay Sethupathi for playing a transgender without thinking much about his image. He only believes in his acting potential. Earlier, we had a Sivaji Ganesan who was like this.”
He further said: “Super Deluxe answers about good, bad and our faith on life and God. The gutter doesn’t flow outside, it runs within us.”
Cheran added: “Though the film has curse words and revealing scenes, it also showcases the immense work of the director in finding apt locations, perfect cinematography, and flawless casting. One can expect more films like Super Deluxe for another five years.”
Cheran’s recent release was ‘Thirumanam’, while his upcoming projects are ‘Rajavukku Check’ and a film with Vijay Sethupathi.
