Nagarjuna Akkineni has completed the first schedule shoot of ‘Manmadhudu 2’, a sequel to his earlier blockbuster ‘Manmadhudu’.
“And it’s a wrap for our first schedule,” tweeted the film’s director Rahul Ravindran, who is also an actor. Rakul Preet Singh is the heroine of ‘Manmadhudu 2’, which is being produced by Nagarjuna and P Kiran in association with Viacom18 Motion Pictures.
Chaitan Bharadwaj of ‘RX 100’ fame is scoring music for the movie, which is tipped to be a romantic family entertainer.
‘Manmadhudu’ is a 2002 Telugu romantic comedy film produced by Nagarjuna on Annapurna Studios banner, directed by K Vijaya Bhaskar.
Starring Nagarjuna, Sonali Bendre and Anshu in the lead roles, the film has a highly successful soundtrack composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
The story and dialogues for the film were written by acclaimed writer Trivikram Srinivas. The film was released on 20 December 2002 to highly positive reviews and further went on to become one of the biggest hits in Nagarjuna’s career.
