Vijay to the help of film workers

Vijay, known for his noble gestures, is at it again. The ‘Thalapathy’ has asked the makers of his upcoming film to shoot the movie only in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu.

“This is to help local junior artistes and film workers. If the shoot takes place outside Tamil Nadu or India, these workers will not get any benefit. In order to help them, Vijay has asked director Atlee and the production team to make the movie here itself,” sources say.

Produced by AGS Entertainment, the yet untitled film, which is being called as ‘Thalapathy 63’, has Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Vivek, Kathir, Daniel Balaji and Ananadaraj in key roles.

Music is being composed by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman. Recently, some important scenes were shot in north Chennai and at SRM University. The flick is tipped to be a sports thriller and Vijay is said to be playing the coach of a sports team. Plans are on to release the film for Deepavali.
