Nayanthara, who had played a journalist in films such as ‘Thalaimagan’ and ‘Sathyam’, is doing at again. She will play a reporter in her upcoming flick ‘Airaa’.
In an interview, the film’s director Sarjun said that the title Airaa is the short form of the Airavatham elephant of Lord Indra.
“Generally elephants have a sharp memory and as the quality of Airavatham is in perfect sync with one of the characters of Nayanthara in the film, we felt Airaa would be an apt title,” he said.
Stating that he originally wanted Nayanthara to only play the brave journalist named ‘Yamuna’ in the film and thought of roping in some other actress to play Bhavani, an innocent girl, he added that he later thought that Nayanthara in a dual role would be another attraction in the film.
The flick produced by KJR Studios is getting ready to hit the screens on March 28. This apart, Nayanthara is currently part of Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Mr Local’ directed by Rajesh M and other projects.
