‘Indian 2’ shoot put on hold

Since Kamal Haasan, the founder of Makkal Needhi Maiam, has become busy with election work, the shoot of his ‘Indian 2’, directed by Shankar, has been put on hold.

According to sources, the shoot will resume soon after Lok Sabha polls. It is to be noted that MNM has decided to contest alone in all 40 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Kamal has started the interview process to pick candidates. On Tuesday, the actor-politician met the Director General of Police and urged him to take stern action against those involved in Pollachi sexual assault case.
On Women’s Day recently, popular actress Kovai Sarala enrolled herself as a member of Makkal Needhi Maiam. She joined the MNM at the party’s headquarters in Chennai.

Speaking on the occasion, Kamal took a dig at the DMDK and the DMK, and said neither his daughter nor a brother-in-law would take over the party after his time.

Also, Kamal inaugurated ‘Centre for Women Health’ at St. Louis College for the Deaf at Adyar in Chennai. He had said he was not having any stigma or taboo of touching a napkin as when he was 6-7 years old he bought it for his family members consists of 6 women then.
