Madhavan has completed the Russia shooting schedule of his upcoming project ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’. Besides playing the lead role, the actor recently took over as the movie’s director too, it is to be noted.
Uploading a video from the location, Madhavan wrote, “It’s a SCHEDULE WRAP…Finished the Russia shoot .. 5 days ahead of time … at -10 Deg C. Thank you my super awesome Unit..”
Simran and Rajeev Ravindranathan play key roles in this flick, which is being simultaneously made in three languages – Tamil, English and Hindi.
Produced by Tricolour Films in association with Vijay Moolan Talkies and Saffron Ganesha Entertainment, the movie is about Nambi Narayanan, an Indian Scientist who was in charge of the cryogenics division with the Indian Space Research Organisation and was a pioneer in space mission programme. He was falsely arrested for Espionage in 1994 by CBI and Kerala police department.
When the project was announced, it was said the film would be jointly directed by Ananth Mahadevan and Madhavan.However recently, Madhavad has said that he would solely direct the project.
“Ananth Mahadevan is an extremely talented filmmaker. However, owing to unavoidable circumstances and certain pressing commitments he could no longer direct Rocketry – The Nambi Effect,” the ‘Minnale’ actor said in a statement.
“Rocketry is close to my heart for many reasons. The film is shaping up well and I can’t wait to tell the incredible story of Nambi Narayanan to the world,” added Madhavan.
