Grand arrangements for ‘Ilayaraja 75’

The Tamil Film Producers Council is making grand arrangements for ‘Ilayaraja 75’, an event it is holding to celebrate and honour the ‘Isaignani’ of Indian cinema.

Despite legal hurdles (a case has been filed in the court and the Madras HC questioned the TFPC whether it can’t postpone the event), TFPC president Vishal, sources said, is optimistic about successfully conducting the concert.
The function will happen on February 2 and 3 at YMCA stadium in Chennai. The most celebrated Symphony Orchestra from Hungary has reached Chennai to perform for the concert.

The who is who of south Indian film industry, including superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, are expected to attend the concert. Ilayaraja fans will throng the venue in large numbers. Sun TV has acquired the telecast rights for a whopping price, sources said.
