What started as arguments between fans over claims made by so-called trackers in the social media has now turned out into a war of words between Sun Pictures, the producers of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Petta’ and KJR Studios, the distributor of Ajith’s ‘Viswasam’.
On Monday evening, Sun Pictures, which posted a video of distributor Tirupur Subramaniam on its Twitter page, wrote: “Here is the AUTHENTIC #Petta BO report : Veteran distributor Tirupur Subramaniam states that from this Sunday, #Petta will become the FIRST Tamil film to cross 100 crores in 11 days in Tamil Nadu ALONE.

It also uploaded a video of Rajini’s intro scene in ‘Petta’.
Hours after this, KJR Studios uploaded a video teasing Rajinikanth and Sun Pictures and posted: “Pangaalingalaa, big #Viswasam fact coming up in 5 mins! Ready ah? #Thala #Ajith #Nayanthara @SathyaJyothi_ @directorsiva @immancomposer @vetrivisuals @dhilipaction @LahariMusic @DoneChannel1 @SureshChandraa.”
