That Kollywood actor Jiiva getting ready to step into Bollywood by playing legendary cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth in upcoming Hindi film ‘1983’ is known to many.
But, the lesser known interesting thing is- the ‘Ko’ and ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ actor is being trained by cricketer Chandu, so that he could get his act right in the movie directed by Kabir Khan.
The film jointly produced by Reliance Entertainment and Vibri Media is likely to present on screen the events that led to the Indian cricket team’s big win in 1983 in the World Cup.
Says Jiiva, “I am happy to be part of this prestigious flick. And I am doubly happy to play Srikanth’s role.” This apart, Jiiva is busy with films including ‘Gorilla’, ‘Gypsy’ and a yet untitled movie with Arulnithi.
The son of popular producer R B Choudary of Super Good Films is also expected to sign one more project, which is said to be a big-budget movie.
