STR says Vishal doing ‘katta panchayat’, HC issues notice

In a shocking allegation, Simbu aka STR has filed a petition in the Madras High Court, alleging that Tamil Film Producers Council president Vishal was involved in ‘katta panchayat’ (kangaroo court).

In his petition, the actor made charges against Vishal and his ‘Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangathavan’ producer Michael Rayappan
“During the problems post the release of ‘AAA’, Vishal involved in Kangaroo Court and acted in favour of Royappan,” said Simbu in his defamation suit and sought Rs one crore as compensation.

When his plea came up for hearing, Justice K Kalyanasundaram ordered notices to the Royappan, Vishal and others, returnable by January 18.
Simbu also urged the court to restrain the Tamil Film Producers Council, the Nadigar Sangam and Vishal from interfering in the production or release of films featuring him. At present, Simbu is busy with movies including ‘Vandha Rajava Thaan varuven’ and ‘Maanadu’.
