A bitter war is happening on social media between some sections of the fans of superstar Rajinikanth and Ajith, since the top actors’ films, ‘Petta’ and ‘Viswasam’, respectively, are slated to simultaneously hit the screens on January 10.
Alleging that those releasing ‘Petta’ were using unfair practices to get more screens, Ajith fans have expressed disappointment and vowed to make their ‘thala’ movie a blockbuster despite all hurdles.
For their part, Rajini fans have been recalling the helps by the superstar to Ajith in the past and expressed unhappiness over the behaviour of Ajith fans.
Meanwhile, bookings for both ‘Petta’ and ‘Viswasam’ have opened in some theatres and tickets are being sold like hot cakes.
‘Petta’ is produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Karthik Subbaraj with Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran, Sasikumar and Bobby Simha in key roles. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander.
‘Viswasam’ is bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films and helmed by Siva with Nayanthara, Thambi Ramaiah and Yogi Babu in key roles. D Imman has composed music.
