Dear Media Friends,
Every year, thousands of songs release in hundreds of movies. A majority of us do not have the time to choose the best ones. You are doing the laudable job of reviewing and presenting them to us. I write to thank you for this work of yours.
Last year, I worked on 83 songs in 33 movies. I also worked on 25 indie songs. I had the opportunity to work in 2.0 on technical inputs, additional dialogues, songs and also to work on the dialogues in Nadigaiyar Thilagam. I thank you for critiquing, appreciating my works and taking it to the public via your media.
I am delighted to know that Kurumba from Tik Tik Tik composed by Imman is the Most Played song on radio in 2018. The songs that I have worked on in 2.0, Padmaavathi, Dhiya, Nadigaiyar Thilagam, Lakshmi, Sandakozhi 2, Thadam, Kaatrin Mozhi, Vanjagar Ulagam, Seedhakaadhi, Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, Sarvam Thaalamayam gave me a sense of satisfaction. Koovai, Ulaviravu, Bodhai Kodhai, Periyar Kuthu, Yaavum Enadhe, Kaadhal Thozhi are a few indie songs this year that gathered attention as much as movie songs and your media has been the primary reason for this reach.
In songs such as Aalaalilo, Karuve, Misiriya, Unadhallava, Mouna Mazhaiyile, Thandhaay, IRudhiyil Enna Enjum, Inaiye, Asaiyum Yaavum, Kannaadi Nenjan, Aalaalaa, Po Urave, Avan Thugal Neeyaa, Sarvam Thaalamayam & Varalaamaa Un Arugil, I was given the freedom to celebrate relationships, explore new words, concepts and travel to different depths in the exploration of emotions. I would like to thank all my directors, composers, singers and producers for these songs.
Kaadhale & Uyir by Karthi Netha, Ennadi Maayaavi & Vaa Rayil Vida Polaama by Vivek, Naan Yaar by Maari Selvaraj, Kannaana Kanne by Thaamarai are a few of my favorite songs that released last year.
I would like to convey my wishes to the writers, via you. In the coming year, I would love to meet you with beautiful songs and good dialogues. I wish you all a very happy 2019.
