Director Cheran announced his comeback today with a film titled ‘Thirumanam’. The film, under its title, carries an intriguing and interesting tagline: ‘Sila Thiruthangaludan’.
Tipped to be an emotional drama about couples, the film has veteran Thambi Ramaiah’s son Umapathy playing the lead role, with Sukanya, MS Baskar, Bala Saravanan, Kavya and Manobala doing pivotal roles.
Cheran, who also plays a key character in the film, said at the launch event: “I lost money in the C2H and was down for a few years. But I met a lot of people around that time which helped me know the life more.”
He added: “A single announcement from Vijay Sethupathi saying that he would do a film with me actually relaxed my financial situation. The money lenders got a confidence that I will return back their money.”
‘Thirumanam’ has music by Siddharth Vipin and cinematography by Rajesh Yadav.
