Mani Ratnam’s next to have Vijay, Vikram and Simbu in lead?

Director Mani Ratnam, following the success of ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, is apparently getting ready for yet another multi-starrer, this time with even more powerful star cast on board.
If sources are to be believed, his next film will feature Vijay, Vikram and Simbu aka STR in the lead. While he had already worked with Vikram in ‘Ravanan’ and with Simbu in ‘CCV’, this is for the first time he is working with Vijay.
According to reports, Mani Ratnam had recently invited Vijay to his office and expressed his idea to revive his dropped dream film based on famed Tamil novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. A look test for Vijay also happened at the Madras Talkies office, it is said.
“If everything goes as planned, an official announcement on this mega project will be made soon. Madras Talkies will join hands with a leading production house to bankroll this movie,” sources said.
