Shattering doubts that whether the film would recover its huge cost, superstar Rajinikanth’s magnum opus ‘2.0’, the costliest ever film made in India, has been making brisk advance bookings from Saturday night.
Rajini fans and general audience have been rushing to book tickets for the Shankar-directed film, both online and offline. This has made theatre owners, distributors and producers (Lyca) happy.
Vettri Theatres managing director Rakesh Gowthaman, said, “5k tickets sold for #2Point0 in jus 3hrs … Predict all prime shows in #Vettri to go full b4 release itself …”
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is worried over the passing away of his best friend and Kannada actor Ambrish. The actor was in Bengaluru on Sunday to pay his last respects to Ambrish.
In a tweet, Rajini said, “A wonderful human being … my best friend … I have lost you today and will miss you … Rest In Peace #Ambrish.”
