Vijay Antony, who had originally planned to release his ‘Thimiru Pudichavan’ on Deepavali, has now reportedly decided to postpone the movie to November 16.
Though he has opted out from competing with Vijay’s Deepavali release ‘Sarkar’, Vijay Antony now has to compete with Jyothika’s ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’, Jayam Ravi’s ‘Adangamaru’, Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Seethakathi’, Nakul’s ‘Sei’, and Udhaya’s ‘Utharavu Maharaja’.
Talking about ‘Thimiru Pudichavan’ at a recent media interaction, Vijay Antony said he was confident about the movie’s success. The music composer-turned-actor is playing a police officer for the first time in this movie.
Nivetha Pethuraj too is playing a police officer for the first time in ‘Thimiru Pudichavan’. According to director Ganesha, “There will be power-packed action sequences and an intense drama. Instead of the regular hero-villain kind of sequences, this one is a mind game.”
Stating that he waited for three years with this script, the filmmaker added: “I was in no mood to settle for someone else for the role as I felt only Vijay Antony would be apt for it. Eventually, things fell in place and Vijay was on board.”
