Ace director S A Chandrasekaran, who is said to be grooming his son Vijay for politics for years, has now said a section of people are afraid and are feeling insecure of the actor’s political entry.
Speaking to reporters after performing prayers at Thamirabharani Pushkaram celebrations in Tirunelveli, he said, “If an actor who reached heights with the help of people decides to enter politics for the betterment of the same people, there is nothing wrong in it.”
He added: “As a Tamilian, I would like to see Vijay enter into politics and do good for the people. But a section of politicians feel insecure whether Vijay would enter into politics. Ultimately, it is the people who have to decide.”
It may be recalled that Vijay had delivered a politically loaded speech at the audio launch of his upcoming film ‘Sarkar’ recently. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film, tipped to be an action thriller, is directed by A R Murugadoss, while music is by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman.
