Arrangements are being made in a grand manner for the audio launch of Vijay’s ‘Sarkar’ composed by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman. The event will happen in Chennai on October 2.
While the function is slated to take place at the auditorium of Sri Sai Ram Engineering College near Tambaram on the outskirts of the city, it has now emerged that Sun Pictures, producers of ‘Sarkar’, have sold the rights to Sony Music.
Sources said the movie’s music rights have been acquired by Sony for a fancy prize. AR Murugadoss is directing the film which also has Keerthy Suresh, Varalakshmi, Yogi Babu, Radha Ravi, and Pazha Karuppaiah in key roles.
The ‘Simtangaaran…’ single from’Sarkar’ which was released on Monday evening has evoked mixed reactions from even ‘Thalapathy’ fans. While some have welcomed it, some have expressed disappointment over the song saying that the words in the lyrics are so difficult to understand.
Meanwhile, Murugadoss celebrated his birthday on Tuesday on the sets of ‘Sarkar’, in the presence of
Vijay, Keerthy Suresh, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and other members of the team.
