Ever since superstar Rajinikanth landed in Lucknow recently to take part in the shoot of ‘Petta’, the Uttar Pradesh police have been providing security to him, considering his popularity and the crowds that are thronging the sets to see him.
However, sources say the top actor has requested the government to take back the security, since he felt the police cover was posing disturbance to people.
“Rajini has told the officials to treat him like any other citizen and he did not want any special security cover,” sources add.
‘Petta’ directed by Karthik Subbaraj and bankrolled by Sun Pictures has been making waves ever since it was announced. The first look, powered by a massy BGM from Anirudh Ravichander, features a stylish Rajni entering a church with a candelabra as weapon of choice.
Following the legendary grin, we see the Superstar in action with the weapon. The movie directed by Karthik Subbaraj has Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddique, Simran, Trisha and Bobby Simha among others in key roles.
