At a time when many actresses are dreaming for years to be part of a Mani Ratnam movie, luck has smiled so early on Aditi Rao Hydari, who has acted in the ace filmmaker’s direction already twice.
Following ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ in which she shared the screen space with Karthi, Aditi is once again part of a Mani Ratnam movie, as she has played one of the heroines in ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’.
In an interview, she has said, “I feel really blessed because for somebody who does not know the industry… I have not grown up watching too many films but I just had this dream and in fact that dream was a little girl’s dream when I saw Mani sir’s film…. I saw Mani sir’s Bombay and I wanted to be a Mani sir heroine.”
‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ is a multi-starrer with Arvind Swamy, Jyothika, Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha among others playing key roles. Music is by A R Rahman.
