With Karthi-starrer ‘Kadaikutty Singam’ running successfully besides winning critical acclaim, makers of the movie organised a success meet in Chennai on Monday.
At the event, the film’s producer Suriya donated Rs one crore for the betterment of farmers and also gave Rs two lakh each to five top-performing farmers. He thanked the entire team of the movie and also his fans for doing so many good things on his birthday recently.
The movie’s director Pandiraj took a dig at PETA in his speech. Stating that PETA members troubled him to chop off the rekla race sequence in ‘KKS’, he said: “Who are you to question us? Our love towards animals is any day better than you”.
It may be recalled that he film won accolades from various quarters, including the Vice-President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu. He said the film reflected our culture and tradition in a neat manner and lauded the team behind the movie.
Responding to this, Suriya said: “Sir truly honoured!! A leader of your stature took time to pay attention to our efforts means the world to us…”
