Vocal critics of Rajinikanth, directors Bharathiraja and Ameer have offered support to the superstar in ‘Kaala’ release issue in Karnataka.
The film faced a protest in the neighbouring State after Rajini expressed support to Tamil Nadu in Cauvery row. Bharathiraja and Ameer said if South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce could not lift the ban announced by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, it is time to change the name.
They said South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce should have the power to solve all the film-related issues across South India but the organisation could not help the producers of Kaala.
“As Kaala is a Tamil film, South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce should have backed the film and helped the producers in the release,” they added.
