Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ hit the screens across India today amid huge expectations. The film’s release is being celebrated like a festival by Rajini fans.
In Chennai, shows started as early as 4 am and fans bursted fire crackers in front of theatres. They also performed paal abhishekams to the banners of Rajinikanth.
Police security has been provided to cinema halls, after some fringe groups announced protests against the movie, for the recent comments made by Rajini in the Thoothukudi firing issue.
In the meantime, Rajini has left for Dehradun to take part in the shoot of his next film helmed by Karthik Subbaraj and bankrolled by Sun Pictures. The film, which is untitled yet, has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
It is said that the first schedule of the shoot would happen in Dehradun for a couple of weeks after which Rajini would return to Chennai.
