En Peru Surya En Veedu India
Allu Arjun, one of the leading actors in neighbouring Tollywood, has always wanted to make his presence felt in Kollywood too. In the past, he had started working on a Tamil film directed by Lingusamy, but it did not materialise as expected.
And now, seeking to impress Tamil audience, he is here with ‘En Peru Surya En Veedu India’, the Tamil version of his simultaneous Telugu release ‘Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India’.
Surya (Allu Arjun) suffers from anger issues since he was a child. He leaves home at a tender age following a tiff with his father.
Years later, he becomes a solider in Indian army where too he faces the same problem. Aggressive Surya appoints himself as the vigilante of the country and takes lives on the border.
These things land him on the verge of losing his job. But he gets a final chance to secure it, thanks to his mentor (Rao Ramesh), who convinces Sanjay Srivathsav (Boman Irani), a top army official.
The condition before Surya now is to obtain a no-objection certificate from renowned psychologist Dr Rama Krishna Raju (Arjun), with whom he has a bitter past.
No doubt, Allu Arjun can be accepted as hero material here too. But he goes overboard in certain scenes (but this character demands those things). Anu Emmanuel looks beautiful and she plays the protagonist’s ex-lover.
There is a long list of actors- Boman Irani, Ashok Rao Ramesh, Vennela Kishore, Pradeep Rawat and even Sarathkumar. But none except Allu Arjun sit in our mind, thanks to the lion’s share he takes in the movie.
Vishal and Shekhar have delivered commendable music, while the movie is rich in production values. Had only it maintained the same steam all over and cut down on aggressive scenes, ‘EPSEVI’ could have become a stunning show.
