At 7 pm on Tuesday (May 1), ‘Semma wieghttu…’, the first single from superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ was released by the film’s producer Dhanush.
The number composed by Santhosh Narayanan was a rap, which praises Kaala (Rajini), the place he lives in Mumbai and his deeds. Soon after it was released, Rajini fans went gaga over it and said they liked the song a lot.
At the same time, there were many who said they were disappointed with the song, as it was not like their thalaivar’s usual mass number. “It reminds us of many other songs, including ‘Neruppu da…’ and ‘Veera Thurandhara…’ in ‘Kabali’,” they said.
Meanwhile, Makuta co-founder and CEO Draper, who is working on the computer graphics of ‘Kaala’, has said, “The experience of working on the film has been very good. The set work which we have to do… It is one of the biggest that we have worked on.”
Giving more details, he said, “They have built a 1 or 1.5 km set… We went out there for work. I hope you won’t be able to tell CGI in it.”
