Tamil film industry has always remade successful and good movies from other languages and a string of such projects are in the pipeline now.
According to trade analysts, remakes are safe bets, but at the same time, the original scripts need to be infused with Tamil flavour to suit the tastes of the audience here. “The success or failure of remake flicks mainly lies in this factor,” they opine.
Jyothika and director Radha Mohan, after the memorable ‘Mozhi’, have come together for a new project,
which will be a remake of Hindi flick ‘Tumhari Sulu’.

Says G Dhananjayan, the movie’s producer, “This title seemed perfect in every way. So we have decided
to go ahead with it.” In the movie, Vidya played the role of an innocent yet mischievous RJ Sulu and went on to win several awards.

Reddy’. Journalist-turned-filmmaker Raju Murugan has penned the dialogues of ‘Varma’.
It is learnt that a grand function is being launched in Chennai to officially launch Dhruv in the presence of
top celebrities in the industry.
The movie is about a medical surgeon who falls for his college junior. He turns to alcohol post break-up
and the rest is about how he redeems himself.
Samantha is playing the role of an investigative journalist in the Tamil-Telugu remake of Kannada hit ‘U-Turn’.
