People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has urged the team members of Jiiva’s upcoming flick ‘Gorilla’ to use graphics instead of using the real chimpanzee.
The animal welfare organisation has requested the film’s crew to follow the strategy of ‘Planet of the Apes’ and ‘The Jungle Book’ by hiring CG experts to recreate wild animals.
Responding to PETA, ‘Gorilla’ team has said that they have completed portions involving the chimpanzee by carefully obtaining permission from the Government of Thailand and India.
Perhaps for the first time in the history of Indian cinema, a chimpanzee plays an important role in the movie directed by Don Sandy.
The film has Shalini Pandey, Radha Ravi, Sathish, Munishkanth, Yogi Babu and Rajendran in key roles.
