Amid much fanfare, the shoot of ‘Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikesi’ was started. But it was halted soon after that, following difference of opinion between Vadivelu and the film’s makers.
Following this, a complaint was filed with the Tamil Film Producers Council. After enquiring it, the TFPC has reportedly asked Vadivelu to either start shooting for the film without imposing any special condition to the team or he has to settle around Rs nine crore to the producers—Shankar’s S Pictures and Lyca Productions for the losses incurred to the team.
The allegation against Vadivelu was that he threw tantrums on sets and posed troubles to the film’s producers and director Chimbu Devan right from the first day shoot.
Recently, the TFPC received complaints against some actors for their ‘unprofessional attitude’ in connection with their films. They are ‘Saamy Square’ (Trisha), ‘Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan’ (STR) and ‘Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikesi (‘Vadivelu’).
“Notice will be issued to them seeking explanation, and if their reply was not satisfactory, disciplinary
action would be taken”, sources had said at that time.
