Imman's 'immortal' plan

Music composer D Imman has achieved the feat of scoring for 100 films with ‘Jeyam’ Ravi’s upcoming flick ‘Tik Tik Tik’.

Thanking the media for its support to him, he said, “I earned my first salary of Rs 500 as a keyboard player from Harris Jayaraj’s father, Jayakumar.”

“I had composed jingles for all the leading textile and jewellery showrooms in Ranganathan Street which had eventually helped me gain experience to make tunes that grab the attention of the listener. It was not just the jingles, but also the experience in composing for around 5000 episodes in nearly 75 teleserials, he said.

My biggest goal in life is to provide at least 100 timeless songs to music lovers. Everyone’s system, mobile or music listening device should have a folder in my name with 100 songs, he said.

Imman addedthat he has introduced 125 singing talents and among them, 80 per cent are Tamilians.
