V M Sudhakar, administrator of Rajinikanth Makkal Mandram, has said elections will be conducted in democratic manner to the organisations wings in villages, towns, municipalities and cities and office-bearers will be elected.
He said this on Sunday, while naming new office-bearers for Vellore district. Stating that they were appointed with the approval of superstar Rajinikanth, he said, “With the consent of our beloved leader, elections will be conducted. Till then, fans and members of Rajinikanth Makkal Mandram are requested to co-operate with the office-bearers named by the headquarters.”
Sholingur N Ravi will be the Vellore district secretary of the Mandram. Posts such as secretary of the women’s wing and the youth wing, have also been created for the Makkal Mandram at the district level.
The appointments come two days after the maiden meeting of Rajini Makkal Mandram held in the Fort City, during which the office-bearers have set a target of enrolling a total of seven lakh members in Vellore district within a month’s time. They are also planning to replicate the model in each district of the state to expand their political wing.
A committee formed by Rajini, who announced his political entry recently, will continue touring other districts in the coming days.
